Ancelotti: “Tebas is disrespectful to Real Madrid fans and should focus on solving the problems of Spanish football”

Carlo Ancelotti has been the club's spokesman this morning and, in the press conference ahead of the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final that Real Madrid will play tomorrow at Anoeta against Real Sociedad, he launched a strong attack against Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, who has been very critical of the club's victim-like behaviour: "Tebas talks too much about Real Madrid. Since I've been here, he has been disrespectful to many Real Madrid fans by talking like that. There are more important issues and he should focus more on solving the problems of Spanish football."
Asked if he knew any Real Madrid fans who were ashamed of the club (another of the things Tebas said), he denied it: “I don’t know what shame there is. I think everyone is proud to be a fan of this club.” The Italian coach said that in his long career he had never experienced a similar situation: “I don’t remember a conflict like that. At Milan, the president of the League was Galliani and I can’t touch him. For me, Galliani is the best manager in the world,” he said.
Already launched, Ancelotti also spoke about the Negreira case: “I see that there is a procedure that has already lasted two years. Football has been patient and we must continue to be patient. In the end there will be a judicial resolution.”
The calendar “It's absurd”Ancelotti, in his most combative form, also strongly criticised the calendar: “Considering the absurd calendar we have, we are doing very well. All the teams that fight and struggle are doing very well. In 50 days we played, 17 games: it is incredible. I get tired and from what I hear and see, you are also getting tired. We need a rest,” he complained.
Ancelotti made it clear that he doesn't care about the criticism: “It's a problem of veterans. Veterans are like grandparents who sometimes get tired of talking to you every day. There are people who are tired of seeing my face every day. I understand it, but I consider myself a child because I have the enthusiasm of a child. Only age condemns me. Young people can't have experience, only time gives you that. It's not the only thing. Knowledge is also. But after 40 years of football, I understand something.”
Modric's renewal An issue between club and playerAfter talking about veteran status, the coach went on to comment on Modric's situation, who is 39 years old: “I'm not going to get into the issue of a contract renewal. It's a matter between the club and the players. It happened with Nacho and Kroos. The same with Modric. Legends have the right to do what they want. This is the idea of the club. They will make the best decision for everyone,” he commented.
Ancelotti highlighted the good atmosphere in the team: “Mbappé has arrived with humility, with a very low profile. The atmosphere has improved. There is much more confidence because one of the best in the world has arrived. At an ego level, nothing changes. We lost important pieces in terms of personality that have to be replaced. We lost Nacho, Kroos, Carvajal... These pieces make up the atmosphere and little by little youngsters like Camavinga, Tchouaméni, Valverde, Vinícius or Rodrygo have to take on more of a role.”
Güler and Endrick They have to be patientFinally, Ancelotti spoke about Arda Güler and Endrick, who play very little: “I am with them every day. I see Güler more or less happy and that is normal. I don’t want to see a player happy when he doesn’t play. I see a player who works, learns and wants to play. This is a small part of the time I spend with him. He spends a lot of time with other people. I don’t know if they have the same idea that I have about him.”
He continued: “I read that there is a Güler case, but that case has not reached here. It is a process for him as for all youngsters. It happened with Rodrygo, Vinicius, Valverde... He needs time to join the best squad in the world. Everyone understands it and whoever doesn't understand it, has to do so.”
Ancelotti commented on Endrick: “Due to his characteristics, he is not going to be a Rodrygo or a Vinícius because he has different characteristics. But he is going to be a great striker, I have no doubt. There is no Endrick case at the moment.”
